Information sourced by faceofmalawi indicates that former President Peter Mutharika has recovered from unknown illness and is ready to face the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

Lawyers for former President have confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local radio station.

Last Month, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) failed to start interviewing Mutharika on over an investigation into abuse of his duty free status due to his illness.

The matter relates to his aides unauthorized use of TPIN in the importation of 800 000 bags of cement worth K5billion from Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The development means ACB will now come up with the dates to interview Mutharika on the matter.
