Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) President Enoch Chihana has confirmed being wanted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) over his alleged involvement in Nocma fuel contracts.

The development comes barely few hours after the arrest of Minister of Energy Newtown Kambala and Presidential Advisor Chris Chaima Banda.

Writing on his official facebook Chihana asked his supporters not to get worried.

“To all party members across the country, I have been summoned by the Anti Corruption Bureau where they are expected to interrogate me on my alleged involvement in Nocma fuel contracts saga,”Chihana said.

The Aford president says this is a normal legal process.

“…and for me, it is an opportunity to clear my name of any wrongdoing,” he said.

The three are being accused of attempting to influence the awarding of fuel procurement contracts at NOCMA.
