Supporters for United Transformation Movement (UTM) and Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) have gathered at Anti-Corruption Bureau Headquarters office in Lilongwe in solidarity with their arrested leaders.
Yesterday, ACB arrested Minister Newton Kambala, AFORD president Enoch Chihana and President Lazarus Chakwera’s aide Chris Chaima Banda over the National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA) saga.
The trio are being interrogated at ACB this morning they are expected to be formally charged.
The three were arrested on Monday for their alleged attempt to influence the awarding of fuel contracts at NOCMA.
