The police have also arrested another member for Center Democracy and Economic Initiative (CDEDI).
According to reports, Edwin Mauluka is currently detained at Police Headquarters at Area 30 in Lilongwe.
Mauluka himself confirmed of his arrest to the media.
According to information at hand, Mauluka was arrested when he visited Namiwa at the police station.
The arrest of Mauluka comes few hours after the police took to custody CDEDI’a executive director Sylvester Namiwa.
Namiwa was nabbed at parliament building where they were holding vigils at parliament building demanding answers on how the smuggled K93 billion loan authorization bill found its way to parliament.
It is reported that the Lilongwe City Council denied the governance institution permission to hold vigils at Parliament hence the arrests.
