Minister of Energy Newton Kambala, Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) Enoch Chihana and President Lazarus Chakwera’s aide Chris Chaima Banda have spent another night in police custody in Lilongwe.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested the three on Monday for their alleged attempt to influence the awarding of fuel contracts at NOCMA.
The three were in a second day running being questioned by the ACB over their alleged role in processes to do with the awarding of fuel supply contracts at Nocma.
They are facing fraud and abuse of office allegations over fuel procurements,
The trio is expected to appear in court today.
