Minister of Energy Newton Kambala has come out of the cocoon to comment on his arrest hours after being granted bail.
The Anti-Corruption Buraue (ACB) arrested Kambala together with Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) President Enoch Chihana and Presidential Advisor Chris Chaima Banda.
The three have been granted bail today after paying a bail bond of K200 000 each. Other conditions include two traceable surities, surrender to court all travel documents.
Additionally, upon ACB request, the court has said the accused persons should report to ACB head office every fortnight.
When asked for comment at his release Kambala had declined to comment on whether he will resign as cabinet minister after the arrest.
“I am not saying anything,” he said.
Meanwhile President Dr. Lazarus chakwera has promised to act accordingly on the two.
