A Senior Resident Magistrate court in Mzimba has convicted and sentenced 21 year old Fatsani Theu to 17 years jail term for defiling a 13 year old girl at Jenda Trading Centre.
Jenda police spokesperson, Martha Msamali confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Msamali, Theu slept with the girl at his friends house and when his wife heard about this she reported the issue to the victims parents who later tipped the police who apprehended him.
Senior resident magistrate Mathews Msiska slapped him with a 17 year jail term to deter others from committing a similar offence.
