A British woman who goes by the name Tess Christian has gone through more than 40 years of not smiling so she won’t get wrinkles as she grows older.

Tess Christian refuse to smile to stop Wrinkles on her face

She said, “I DON’T HAVE WRINKLES BECAUSE I HAVE TRAINED MYSELF TO CONTROL MY FACIAL MUSCLES. EVERYONE ASKS IF I’VE HAD BOTOX, BUT I HAVEN’T, AND I KNOW THAT IT’S THANKS TO THE FACT I HAVEN’T LAUGHED OR SMILED SINCE I WAS A TEENAGER. MY DEDICATION HAS PAID OFF, I DON’T HAVE A SINGLE LINE ON MY FACE.”

Because of this behavior, her friends called her by the nickname “Mona Lisa”.

It all started when she was a teenager at a strict Catholic school, where they discouraged students from smiling.

Instead of smiling, she learned how to smirk. She also found some serious expressions that fit her later in life.

Tess didn’t like how she looked when she smiles so she looked up to old-school Hollywood icons to find her own way.

It wasn’t easy at first for her to hold her smile or laugh on daily basis. She had to learn to make her face muscle rigid.

Sometimes, she would lift up the corners of her mouth but that is all about it. Yet, her social life seems to be just fine.

She found her own style by watching Hollywood celebrities

“THE CORNERS OF MY MOUTH MIGHT GO UP A LITTLE BUT I NEVER LOOKED ANYTHING OTHER THAN FAINTLY AMUSED. FRIENDS KNEW I WAS FUN TO BE AROUND, SO IT WASN’T AN ISSUE.”

Tess claims that her method is effective and doesn’t cost her a fountain on beauty cream.

While some experts think that this trick might work, smiling can have a tremendous effect on your mental health, thus improving your overall health. Plus, smiling can make you look younger and much more attractive.
