As one way of cementing good relations with its partners, Old Mutual Malawi and Insurance brokers on Tuesday toured Mthunzi Funeral Service Centre to appreciate the services offered to Malawians when death strikes.

Mthunzi Funeral Services is a subsidiary, of Old Mutual Malawi and the company offers affordable convenience, exceptional quality and dignified funeral services in Malawi.

During the tour Old Mutual top officials together with brokers had a chance to be briefed by some Mthunzi staff members on how they discharge their duties during funerals from the point of death up to burial of the deceased.

The officials visited the mutually, the show room (where caskets are kept), the Chapel and a place where the body is embalmed.

Speaking after the tour Old Mutual Malawi Marketing and Corporate Affairs Manager Patience Chatsika said the aim of the tour was to sensitize the masses on the services offered by Mthunzi Funeral Service Centre.

“We have organized this tour to sensitize our customer, the public on the services that we offer. As Mthunzi Funeral Services we offer what we call end to end services.

“An end to end services involve collecting the body from the point of the death, storing it in our mortuary, dressing and also offer the funeral service up to the end where the burial take place,” said Chatsika.

Chitsika hinted that the company came up with Mthunzi Services after realizing the gap which is there on the market.

On his part one of the representatives of the Insurance Brokers, Clement Lungu from Kingfisher Insurance Brokers hailed Old Mutual for coming up with Mthunzi Funeral Service centre.

“Well this centre is very good, very neat and especially for prayers, one will be given dignified ceremony so that’s very good,” said Lungu.

He then urged Malawians to start seeking services from Mthunzi.

Mthunzi Funeral Service Centre was launched in 2020.
