Services have stalled at Karonga Immigration Offices after their rented office building was sealed off this morning for non-payment of six months rentals.
Landlord John Sichilima, who did not share the specific amount of unpaid rentals, says the Department Immigration has not been honoring rentals despite several reminders.
Northern Region Immigration spokesperson Blackwell Lungu has attributed the situation to a delay in processing payment but denies commenting more.
