President of Madagascar Andrey Rajoelina is in the country for the SADC Summit in Lilongwe.
His arrival on Sunday night marks the beginning of arrivals for several Heads of State that have confirmed their attendance for the Summit.
A plane carrying President Rajoelina touched down at the Kamuzu International Airport KIA slightly after 10 p.m. on Sunday. He is the first to arrive ahead of the Heads of State Summit, scheduled for Tuesday, August 17 to the 18th of August. He was welcomed by the Minister of Sports and Youth, Ulemu Msungama.
Madagascar is an Agricultural Island nation. It is home to about 20 million people, with at least 1 million of them resident in its capital city Antananarivo.
