An angry mob in Nsanje last night set ablaze a motor vehicle, a Toyota Raum saloon, registration number NE7346, belonging to Phokera market businessman, Isaac Majiga.
The angry mob also assaulted the owner of the vehicle on suspicion that he was trading in human tissues.
Nsanje Police Spokesperson, Sub Inspector, Agnes Zalakoma confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).
According to Zalakoma, two police officers from Chiromo police, sustained soft tissue injuries as the angry mob pelted stones at the police who rushed to the scene to quell the situation.
Ward Councillor for Mlonda ward, Kassim Ngwali was also wounded as he tried to protect the vehicle.
