Zambia’s President Elect Hakainde Hichilema is expected to deliver his first State of National Address (SONA) on September 10 as he will be opening the 13th National Assembly.
Hichilema was declared winner by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) on August 15 to become the country’s 7th president.
He defeated his main political rival President Edgar Lungu of Patriotic Front (PF) party.
This was his 6th time trying to compete on the presidential position.
According to reports, Hichilema will be inaugurated as Zambia’s 7th President on August 24, 2021.
