Mulanje Police rescue two girls from forced initiation

Police in Mulanje yesterday rescued two girls from forced initiation.

The girls aged 14 and 16 are from Kandeu and Reuben villages respectively in the area of Senior Chief Chikumbu in the district.

Meanwhile, Mulanje Police Spokesperson Sub-Inspector Gresham Ngwira has said initiation leaders, Lexa Chipaso and Patricia Fyson, have been arrested for allegedly forcing the girls into the initiation camp.
