Controversial Prophet Austin Liabunya of ‘Believers Gospel Embassy International is claiming that he is under investigations for fraud and money laundering in South Africa.
Liabunya also known as Senior 1 by his followers has confirmed the development via his official Facebook page.
According to Liabunya, he has learnt from his lawyers that his South African First National Bank (FNB) account has been frozen.
“It is so sad to learn from lawyers that they have frozen my South African FNB account and that I’m under investigation for fraud and money laundering,” said Liabunya.
According to the self-styled man of God, the said money in his bank account belongs to his company and not him adding that it is all the fruits of his hard work.
“We are living in a time when you receive millions in your account it’s a problem,” he said.
He has therefore added that his legal team is on the ground working tirelessly to win the battle and reclaim what belongs to him.
Last year, the South African government arrested another Malawian prophet Shepherd Bushiri on similar allegations.
