In a dramatic turn of events, a young married woman from Rushinga, Zimbabwe allegedly threatened to commit suicide after her husband caught her red-handed pants down with another man.

Andrew Gwati dragged his wife Ruth Kamuriwo to Rushinga Chief’s court after she threatened him with suicide.

When she appeared before Chief Rusambo, Kamuriwo affirmed that she had been threatening Gwati with committing suicide.

In her defence, she claims that ever since her husband busted her,  he has been neglecting her for almost nine months staying in Harare.

Responding to the claims, Gwati revealed that he tried to keep his composure after he discovered that his wife had been cheating on him. He said after Kamuriwo admitted to cheating on him, he and his family forgave her for it.

“My wife threatened to commit suicide if I disclosed the case to the people but I told my parents and my aunty and we forgave her,” said Gwati.

However, during the court session, Kamuriwo pleaded with Gwati to tell her before the court if she was still his wife or not.

“I need to know that we are still together or I’m no longer your wife?

“If so please I need to know the truth before this court,” said Kamuriwo.

H-Metro reports that Kamuriwo was finally allowed to separate from her husband after the boyfriend Gabriel Gwezere pleaded guilty and was fined three beasts.

Gwati  is, however, still surprised by the chief’s decision as he believes that he was the one who was supposed to file for divorce, not the wife who was caught cheating.

“I’m totally dumbfound.

“I am a victim of her misdeeds; she committed an adultery,” he said.
