GHANA – A 27-year-old woman has reportedly been killed by her 35-year-old man at Assin Koforidua in the Central Region.
According to reports, the incident was said to have happened on Tuesday, 31st August 2021. The victim was said to have bolted to from her home screaming for help after her husband chased her out of the house with a cutlass.
Unfortunately, the victim was unable to escape the wrath of her husband as he hacks her to death for reasons we are yet to find out.
Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Central Regional Police Command, Inspector Isaac Evans Ettie also narrated that one of the neighbors in the area upon seeing the situation rushed out to call for help but when they arrived, they met the victim lying in a pool of blood after she was butchered by her husband.
“The only tenant, on seeing the situation run out and shouted for help. The neighbours later came in and found Kwabena having butchered his wife to death for no apparent reason,” he said.
“Police proceeded to Assin Koforidua and met 27-year-old Abena, with deep cutlass wounds on her head, back and left hand, in a pool of blood dead,” he stated.
According to him, the suspect, Kwabena immediately attempted suicide by slitting his throat but failed as he is currently receiving treatment at the St. Francis Xavier hospital at Assin Fosu.
