A woman aged 22 has drowned in Lumbadzi River and police suspect she committed suicide.
Lumbadzi Police spokesperson, Felix Kwinyani, says Brenda Kachigunda got married three years ago in Mtsiriza Township.
The husband recently divorced her and married another woman within the same location.
It is alleged that on Friday, she became ill and her relatives took her to Lumbadzi Health Centre where she was advised to go for medical check up but her body was found floating in the river today.
Postmortem conducted at Lumbadzi Health Centre revealed that she died due to suffocation.
