Nico group of companies has announced a sponsorship of K10 million for the premiere of the local movie, Highbrow.
The movie is set for premiere in Lilongwe and Blantyre on September 24 and 25 respectively.
Speaking during a press conference this morning, Nico group of companies head of marketing and customers experience Lorraine Phiri said Nico decided to sponsor the movie premier events as a way of promoting the local movie industry.
In her remarks, one of the actors in the movie, Siphiwe Lino said it is encouraging to see local companies supporting the arts industry.
Highbrow is a local movie that depicts one of the country’s biggest government financial scandals, popularly known as Cashgate.
