President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is in Nsanje where he is inspecting the construction works of the 26-kilometre Nsanje-Marka Road.

Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by Government officials that included ministers and their deputies, Members of Parliament, chiefs from the Lower-Shire and members of political parties from the Tonse Alliance.

Officials from China Railway Company which is constructing the railway line briefed the President about the progress made in the construction of the road.

From this point, the Malawi leader will proceed to Tchelere which is an 8-kilometre stretch from Nsanje Boma to appreciate the construction work of one of the bridges along the road.
