Chief Resident Patrick Chirwa has directed that hearing of a case involving former Energy Minister Newton Kambala and two others will commence from 28th October and 1st November in the morning and 2nd November in the afternoon.

Chirwa has given the direction this morning where the graft-bursting body ACB Director General Martha Chizuma indicated they would today give the suspects back their phones which were in their possession.

Kambala, former presidential advisor Chris Chaima Banda and AFORD President Enoch Chihana were arrested on 9th August and charged with conspiracy to influence a public officer to abuse her office.

They were later released on bail on 11th August, 2021.
