One of the social commentators in the country Joshua Chisa Mbele has questioned the visit of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Blair arrived in the country early in the morning through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA).
According to State House Acting Press Officer Anthony Kasunda, Blair is on the country for private trip but will meet President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
It is said that chakwera invited Blair.
Writing on his official facebook page Chisa Mbele said Blair is not wanted in Malawi.
“Former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, is neither the Tourist nor the Diplomat Malawi needs at this hour.
“We don’t need him. We don’t want any further controversy any more,” wrote Chisa Mbele.
He added: “Thank you for your understanding of our discomfort.”
Effort to talk to Minister of Information Gospel Kazako proved futile.
