The Zimbabwe Republic Police has revealed that they have arrested a Mbembesi man after he reportedly struck his cousin with a knobkerrie on the head leading to his death in July this year.
It is alleged that Roy Ndzombane, 46, found the now deceased Mphathisi Masoka, 43, having sexual intercourse with his niece leading to the tragic event.
Taking to their Twitter page, the ZRP wrote:
In a related case of murder, Police in Mbembesi arrested Roy Ndzombane (46) after he stuck his cousin, Mphathisi Masoka (43) with a knobkerrie on the head on 24/09/21 at Mahawana Village, Mbembesi after he found him having sexual intercourse with his niece.
The victim died whilst admitted at Mpilo Hospital on 26/07/21.
2/4 after he was assaulted by the suspects on 24/09/21 at Gravel Shops, Ushewekunze. The victim as well as his friend were given eleven cattle hooves to skin by one of the suspects, Benjamin Mapondera, and were assaulted after one hoof went missing.
