A candidate at Dzaleka Community Day Secondary school was arrested yesterday for allegedly being found with reference materials during Biology paper JC examinations.
A leaked police report we have seen shows that Herbert Kaweta, an invigilator at the examination center found the candidate, a Congolese national with the materials and informed the supervisor and security officers.
Upon further searching, she was found with other reference materials in her skirt.
According to reports the candidate was released the same day and is continuing writing the remaining papers while police have filed a report to MANEB.
Central East Police Region spokesperson, Harry Namwaza, has asked for more time before commenting. We are receiving reports that another candidate has also been found cheating at the same school.
