Veteran musician Lucius Banda who is also one of the organizers of this year’s Sand Music Festival has attacked presidential photographer Ras Peter Kansengwa over disgraceful pictures he took of South Africa’s songstress Makhadzi.
Makhadzi gave out a spirited performance on the opening day of the three day Sand Music Festival at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi District.
She offered a one-hour act that excited the audience.
Supported by two female and two male dancers, she performed with energy as the international headliner for Friday.
The whole effort went into the drain after her photos exposing some inner parts of her not worth for public consumption went viral on social media.
The photos were taken by Ras Kansengwa.
Malawians started criticizing the singer who later on apologized but this did not go down well with Banda.
Writing on social media Banda could not hide his disappointment.
“While others struggle to put Malawi on the tourism map through entertainment, Others keep destroying the efforts by taking this negativity of ours too far,” wrote Banda.
Kasengwa is yet to comment on the matter.
