High Court Judge Dorothy DeGabrielle will on Tuesday, October 5, sentence businessman Thomson Mpinganjira who was found guilty of attempting to bribe five Judges who presided over the 2019 presidential election nullification petition.

On September 10, the High Court found Mpinganjira guilty of counts, under the Corrupt Practices Act including corruptly offering an advantage and attempting to induce the High Court judges with an aim of influencing a ruling of the case in favour of then president Peter Mutharika.

Since then the business tycoon has been on remand at Chichiri prison.
