A 28-year-old man has died after a tree he was cutting fell on him in Chikwawa.
Chikwawa Police publicist, Dickson Matemba, said the man, Fraction Sonya of Makhula Village, Traditional Authority Makhwira in Chikwawa District met his fate on October 4, 2021, when he was cutting a tree meant for firewood.
“Whilst cutting the tree, it fell on him and he died on the spot,” narrated Matemba.
Police rushed to the scene accompanied by medical personnel from Makhwira Health Centre and postmortem results revealed that death was caused due to internal bleeding.
