The High Court in Lilongwe has found engineer Trevor Hiwa former, Chief Executive Office of National Roads Authority (currently the Roads Authority), with a case to answer.
Hiwa was charged with abuse of public office contrary to Section 25B (1) of the Corrupt Practices Act and failure to disclose interest in the procurement process contrary to Section 25D (1) of the Corrupt Practices Act and Section 19 (1) of the Public Procurement Act.
ACB Public Relations Director Egrita Ndala confirmed of the development in a statement.
According to Ndala, the Court has acquitted him on the second count but found him with a case to answer for abuse of office.
He will appear in Court on a date to be set by the Court
