Fire has gutted down part of Raiply plantation factory this morning in Mzimba.
Raiply Malawi Limited Public Relations Officer, Dalitso Chimwala, has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Chimwala, the fire emanated from oil leak which created a spark which started the fire.
Following the development, the factory will not be running until the boiler room is fixed because it is the main supplier of steam for all operations.
Meanwhile, fire fighters are currently on the scene.
