Police in Mponela on Wednesday arrested four men suspected of stealing a herd of six cattle valued at K2.4m.

Mponela police spokesperson, Macpatson Msadala, confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Msadala, five men broke into a kraal in Chizolowondo village, T/A Chakhaza and made away with the six cattle.

Msadala said one suspect is still at large.

Meanwhile, police have found carcasses for three cattle valued at K1.5m and impounded a minibus suspected to have been used to ferry the stolen animals.
