High court judge Mandala Mambulasa has set aside a default judgment that removed Noah Dalasi Ngabu as Senior Chief Ngabu.

The ruling has, consequently, reinstated Dalasi Ngabu to his position of senior chief.

President Lazarus Chakwera appointed Dalasi Ngabu on the position as recommended by a Commission of Enquiry, but a Mr. Makwelu obtained the default judgment against the appointment.

The Office of Attorney General challenged the default judgment in the high court which, after looking into the matter, overturned it.

Makwelu was initially holding the position after being appointed Senior Chief Ngabu by the previous regime.
