Man handed 50 years jail sentence for defiling 9 year old girl

High Court Judge, Justice Mzondi sitting at Mulunguzi in Zomba has sentenced Mustafa Yunusu, 31, to 50 years in prison with hard labour for defiling a 9-year-old girl.
The case was referred to the High Court after full hearing in the First Magistrate Court sitting at Mulunguzi and the State had prayed for a stiffer sentence due to the aggravating factors.
Yunusu comes from Mapira Village in the area of Traditional Authority Mwambo in Zomba District.
