Blantyre has registered a scabies outbreak with over 250 cases recorded.
According to the Director of Health and Social Services for Blantyre, Dr Gift Kawalazira, the cases have been recorded between June and September.
The skin disease is caused by lack of proper hygiene and Kawalazira has called on people in the district to practice hygiene and contain it.
Kawalazira said currently they have enough drugs for the disease and has urged those who will have signs and symptoms to seek medical care and avoid further spread of the disease.
