Former Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) Director General Aubrey Sumbuleta has pleaded not guilty to all the seven counts that he has been charged with.
Sumbuleta is answering three counts of abuse of office, two accounts of indecent assault and two accounts on sexual harassment.
Three of the counts were reportedly committed in 2010 while the rest in 2014 and they include forcing MBC female employees into sexual relationships.
The defence is applying for transfer of the case to Blantyre High Court; arguing it is near the accused person’s residential area and that five of the seven counts were allegedly committed in Blantyre.
