A 26-year -old-man has died in Chiradzulu after excessive drinking of beer without taking any food.
District police Publicist Sergeant Innocent Moses has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Moses,the deceased has been identified as Petro Iman of Mawama village in Traditional Authority Ntchema in the district.
This comes barely a few weeks after the station registered a similar incident despite the station’ intervention through the office of community policing which is tirelessly sensitizing the masses against drinking beer on empty stomach.
Police are therefore appealing to the alcohol addicts that whenever they want to drink any type of beer, they need to eat food first to avoid such untimely deaths.
