Information reaching this publication indicates that three candidates have been blocked from voting in Mzimba East Constituency by-election.
The candidates are Donnex Muva of Malawi Congress Party (MCP), John Phiri of Freedom Party and Wesley Kumwenda of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
According to information at hand, the three registered outside the Constituency.
MEC director of media and public relations, Sangwani Mwafulirwa said all those who registered elsewhere will not be allowed to vote.
“There were no voter transfers in this by-election. Voter transfers were conducted in 2019 that is why those candidates will not vote,” he said.
