Civil Society Organization (CSO) under the banner Human Rights Ambassadors has said it I planning to hold demonstrations against Tonse Alliance led government to show its dissatisfaction with how it is governing the country.
One of Human Rights Ambassador’s executive member Richard Mphepo confirmed to the media on the same.
According to the grouping the cost of living is becoming expensive day by day as prices of essential commodities keep rising.
According to Mphepo, the protests will be conducted in all regions of the country starting from Tuesday next week in the commercial city of Blantyre.
Since Tonse Alliance came to power with Lazarus Chakwera as the country’s president, Malawians gave been complaining if living an expensive life following the rising of prices in essential goods such as cooking oil, fuel and fertilizer which is contrary to their campaign promises.
However, government’s spokesperson Gospel Kazako has condemned the grouping of rushing into organizing the protests.
Kazako has since appealed to stakeholders to give Tonse Alliance time to full fill its campaign promises
