Lightning has killed a 91-year-old man, Benson Matope in Namasalima village in Mulanje district.
Police says the accident happened on Tuesday evening while Matope was in his house.
The district police spokesman, Gresham Ngwira, says Namasalima Health Centre confirmed the death.
