Zambia’s past immediate head of state Edgar Chagwa Lungu has apologized to Zambians for letting them down the tie he was their president.

Lungu was speaking at this year’s 7th memorial service of late Michael Sata who was Zambia’s fifth republican.

Whilst speaking at Embassy Park, the official burial site of Sata, Lungu said that despite the fact that his government built a number of infrastructures, somehow Zambians felt betrayed.

Lungu also added that with all the developmental infrastructures he built he did not expect to lose the August 12, 2021 general elections.

Hakainde Hichilema is the 7th republican president of Zambia after he ousted Lungu out of power this year.
