Eye of the Child Acting Executive Director, Memory Chisenga, said as an organisation, they strongly condemn such an act and it is their prayer that the law enforcers will do the needful to apprehend the perpetrator.
“We want justice for the child, we want this perpetrator to be locked up and we do not want him to get out on bail.
“We do not want him to have any chance of going out of police custody without justice so that this case should be a lesson to all would-be offenders out there,” said Chisenga.
In a separate interview, Youth Net and Counseling (YONECO) Executive Director, Macben Mkandawire, said it is so disheartening to watch that video showing a man assaulting a child in this era.
He assured the public that they are working hand in hand with the police in making sure that the man is arrested.
Meanwhile, Central West Regional Police Spokesperson, Alfred Chinthere, has confirmed that the suspect has been arrested and is in custody at Ntcheu Police Station waiting to appear before the court soon.
