The planned demonstrations by the Human Rights Ambassadors against the Tonse Alliance led government to address economic challenges that have rocked the country are on today.
Spokesperson for the grouping Steve Chimwaza has confirmed of the development saying the protests will take place in all the regions of the country, but firstly they will be held in the commercial city of Blantyre.
Among other issues, Chimwaza said they want the Tonse administration to fulfill the campaign promises they made prior to June 23, 2020 fresh presidential elections.
Chimwaza added that the continued rising cost of living is also an attributing factor to hold the government accountable.
Adding to that, the grouping is bemoaning high unemployment rate among the youth which is contrary to what President Lazarus Chakwera and his vice Saulos Chilima said during the campaign.
However, government spokesperson Gospel Kazako has asked the general public to be patient with the Chakwera administration to settle down adding that not everything they promised can happen overnight.
