The medical examination on mental health status of a 40-year-old-man, Patrick Gome who on Sunday allegedly bit a nine-months-old baby girl at Ben Chimseu Village in Ntcheu shows he is mentally stable.

He was taken to Ntcheu District Hospital by Police on Monday, November 1st following the incident for medics to examine his mental health status.

Speaking in the development, Ntcheu Police spokesperson, Rabecca Kwisongole, however, says the suspect  will again this morning be taken to the same hospital for rabies test.

Police expect to charge Gome with acts intended to cause grievous harm.
