29 Busted in Lilongwe Sweeping Exercise

Police in Lilongwe’s Kawale Township have on the night of Monday, November 1, 2021, arrested 29 people during a sweeping exercise.
The exercise was jointly conducted with the station’s lower formations.
Among the 29 arrested, 10 are women who ply their businesses during the night.
The exercise was carried out in Area 23, Area 24, Biwi, and Chipasula.
The suspects will be taken to court soon to answer charges ranging from theft, being found in possession of Indian hemp, and contravening Covid-19 regulations.
