Everybody in this world surely has a story to tell whether negative or positive. Everybody certainly must have a period when things are not going well, and it can go a long way to hurt in the future. We have heard about fathers rejecting their child from birth for different reasons. Some do this because they feel they are not ready for marriage and cannot cope with the daily demands of taking care of a baby, while some do it because they believe their wives are seeing another man, and they cannot accept a bastard as a child.
Most African fathers love to have a male child, especially as their first child because they believe he is a pillar of the family. African women are always scared to bear a girl as their firstborn because they are afraid of facing the wrath of their husbands when they could not produce a male child. Popular Nollywood actress Chika Ike was a victim of this circumstance after her father rejected her from childbirth, the beautiful actress was born on November 8, 1985.
Picture of her father who rejected her:
When she was born, her father rejected her because he wanted a son, but his wife had given birth to a girl who is Chika Ike.
Her father accused her mother of giving birth to a female child whom he believes will have no impact on the family.
Her mother was the one who raised her alone without the support of her father.
When Chika Ike was growing up as a teenager, she became a model where she made a little fortune to make her mother proud.
She struggled to attend the university at the University of Lagos where she graduated with a degree in health and kinetics.
She was so adamant to be an actress, so she decided to attend a New York film academy where she learned movie acting.
Her willingness to achieve success in life and be a celebrity paid off when she started appearing in movies. Today she is one of the biggest celebrities in Africa by standards.
Unfortunately, unfortunately, she lost her father in 2014 while her mother also passed away in 2016, it is sad that her parents are late that they could not see what their child has achieved.
When she bought an exotic car for her mother:
She took good care of her mother before her death by buying her an exotic car. Now she is one of the best actresses in Nollywood.
In 2009 she was the best role model award in Africa at the African youth society award. She also won the best actor at the Doven club awards in 2011, and she launched her fashion line in the same year which she named “Fancy Nancy”.
She was given an appointment in the United Nations as a messenger of peace in 2011, and she also established her own NGO which she named “Help a Child Foundation” to assist the less privileged children in the society.
What she has achieved in life:
She is also into real estate management where she makes a lot of money as well, she bought an exotic for her studio in 2020.
Her story should be a lesson to people who have found themselves in this type of situation, we must learn that out of sight is not out of life, if you are rejected by someone, it does not mean you are rejected by God, and you can still achieve your dreams regardless of what people think about you.
