Hova fans rejoice! American rapper Sean Carter, AKA Jay-Z, AKA new Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame inductee, has finally opened an Instagram account.
Hova, as Carter is fondly known among his fans, posted his first post on the photo-sharing site as @jayz on Wednesday morning.
The post is a poster for the Netflix film The Harder They Fall, which he co-produced and in whose soundtrack he appears.
Currently, he only follows his wife Beyonce’s account, while his account has amassed over 1.4 million followers within 6 hours.
The notoriously private rapper maintains a very minimal online presence. His Twitter account, for instance, has only tweeted six times since 2018.
Carter’s fans had for years relied on Beyonce’s Instagram, where she posts candid shots of her and her billionaire rapper husband.
Last month, Jay-Z was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where former US President Barack Obama hailed him as “the embodiment of the American Dream.”
