The State-owned Broadcaster Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) has warned the general public against a fake Facebook account in the name of our Director General, George Kasakula that has been created by scammers purportedly to collect cash from innocent Malawians.

The account states that MBC through Mr. Kasakula is hiring new staff who are required to pay K100,000 as part of the recruitment process.

MBC has further acknowledged that follows a free and open recruitment process through the press, its TV Channel, and official MBC Website and Facebook pages.

MBC has since called on the members of the public to report any such scammers to their nearest police station as what they are doing is defrauding the public.
