Senior Chief Nyambi of Machinga District and three others who were arrested for trafficking people, have been released on court bail.
The chief whose real name is Yasin Daiton, Dambuleni Mkandawire, Steven Kanjoka and Evance Makulumanya were arrested on Monday last week on suspicion they were trafficking 10 people including a woman from Thyolo to work on tobacco estates in Machinga.
The four have paid a bail bond of K150, 000 each among other bail conditions.
The case will continue on 22 November, 2021 when state will parade its witnesses.
