The Ntcheu Senior Resident Magistrate Court said it will, on 10 November, 2021, rule on a bail application by Vincent Dzimadzi, the man who was seen in a video clip whipping and torturing a 14-year-old boy in Ntcheu last week.

Dzimadzi has pleaded not guilty to the charge of committing an act intended to cause grievous harm.

He appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Joshua Nkhono on Thursday afternoon where defense counsel Henry George Kadzakumanja applied for bail arguing the suspect has a right to the same beside allowing defense to prepare for the trial.

Police Prosecutor, Prescott Mwayiulipo said they will parade six witnesses beside 15 photos extracted from the video clip hence objected to the application fearing for the suspect might interfere with state witnesses due to his financial muscle, among others.
