Lilongwe Demonstrators Demand Firing Of Chilima As Minister Of Economic Planning

Demonstrations organised by a grouping under the banner Social Revolution Movement are underway in Lilongwe.
The grouping is demanding the firing of the vice president, Dr Saulos Chilima as minister of Economic planning and all presidential advisors on the basis that they are just wasting tax payers money.

The grouping says it wants President Lazarus Chakwera to fire the advisors saying the rising cost of living is as a result of having poor advisors.
Banners carried by demonstrators
Organisers say from the starting point they will go to Town Hall and then Civic Office at City Centre.
Demonstrators have now left Lilongwe Community Ground on their planned street protests.
