South Africa’s main opposition leader Julius Malema, Commander in Chief of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) said he want King Mswati of eSwatini removed as he has suggested for sanctions to be placed until the demand is met.

“We have to go and block the borders of Swaziland and make sure that Mswati steps down,” said Malema.

Malema stated that the time has come to intensify the removal of King Mswati from the Throne.

Speaking during a press conference in Pretoria on Thursday, the EFF leader said under the current situation in eSwatini, the people needed support more than before.

“We have to go and block the borders of Swaziland and make sure that Mswati steps down. We have no problem with royalty in Swaziland but let it assume the role of the Zulu royalty and any other royalty in South Africa. Let them continue as royalty without interfering in the political affairs and the economic affairs of Swaziland”, said the EFF leader.

According to report by Swaziland Times, the Malema urged EFF Swaziland to keep the fire burning and not relent until their dream becomes a reality.

“They must continue to fight, the students, the young people of Swaziland, no one ever said it’s going to be easy, it has always been very difficult”, he said.
